Another iSnip Update

davedelong — Wed, 04/15/2009 - 20:57

I admit, it's been a long time since I've done anything with iSnip and it's been languishing on the sidelines.

However, since yesterday was the last day of classes and today I had nothing to do all day (a wonderful thought, by the way), I decided to bust out the iSnip.xcodeproj file I have and take another swing at it.

Attached to this post you'll see a screenshot of everything I've been able to do today. While it may not look like much, it's an enormous step in the right direction for me. I decided to go ahead with Core Data as the root for the snippet persistence, and I don't regret it. It's a complicated system, but I'm getting the hang of it. One thing I've decided to do, though, is not use bindings. I'm going to take this awesome newness one step at a time.

The other thing I've gotten working is rudimentary drag and drop. Folders can be rearranged within the "Folders" section. I'm really excited about what I've been able to get done today, and I hope to see equally significant progress in the coming days.

Dave
